What are natural diamonds?
We know that we love them, but do we know how they are created? Natural, or mined, diamonds are formed inside the Earth, under extremely high conditions of pressure and temperature. In short, it happens when carbon dioxide is heated until it solidifies.
The problem is that this process is not reliable. A small change in the necessary conditions can interrupt the entire development. Natural diamonds take around 1 to 3 billion years to be completely formed, and they are a finite resource. To extract, it’s necessary to mine them, preferably near recent volcanic eruptions that bring the diamonds near to the surface.
They are very rare and unique, which makes them even more dreamy and perfect. This is also an advantage that helps increase their financial value every year, making diamond jewelry a true investment.
